OF THE
Who We Are
The Friends of the Watauga County Public Library is a 501(c)(3) volunteer-run non-profit organization working to support the Watauga County Public Library in Boone, NC. We raise funds for programs and services; promote reading and literacy; and work to increase awareness of our library resources.

What We Do
Our members advocate for our library and share our love of books and reading throughout Watauga County. We maintain the Books & Crannies Used Bookstore and host semi-annual used book sale events to raise funds for the library. These funds, along with membership dues and donations, support community outreach and programs not covered by the library's budget.
How You Can Help
Friends depends on the generosity of our community. You can support our mission by becoming a member; making a financial gift; donating gently used books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, games and magazines for us to sell; or by becoming one of the many dedicated volunteers who make our work happen.
